Reception staff greeted me warmly, making check-in easy. The double room had charming antique furnishings that really highlighted the hotel's historical character. I loved having an electric kettle for tea in the room. The bed was comfortable and warm for a cozy night. The location was perfect for exploring Witney, with many attractions within walking distance. the noise from the road outside was bothersome at times, even with double glazing. There was also some visible wear in the décor and carpets, and some areas felt a bit neglected. The restaurant's Nepalese cuisine was a delightful surprise, and I enjoyed the generous portions at dinner. Breakfast was decent, although the choices were somewhat limited. A bit more attention to detail in the maintenance would elevate the experience significantly.

Historic building with character, unique decor and antique furnishings, nice garden space for relaxation
The hotel suffers from dreadful noise issues from traffic, rooms are notably cramped with poor ventilation!!! Extensive refurbishment is needed to address the general impression of neglect and outdated bathrooms!!!
